Tackle Today: The Week Ahead

Morning Investor!

Retail earnings take center stage this week with retail heavy weights WalMart, Home Depot, Lowes and Target center stage. It is going to be a light week in regards to known news events as there are few notable events on the calendar. Of course unknown news can still pop up as Washington continues to wrangle over stimulus and U.S./China tensions continue to simmer. Here are some of the key earnings and scheduled events of the coming week. 

Earnings spotlight: 

  • Monday – JD.com (NASDAQ:JD) 
  • Tuesday – Walmart (WMT), Home Depot (HD), Kohl’s (NYSE:KSS), Advance Auto Parts (NYSE:AAP) and Toll Brothers (NYSE:TOL) 
  • Wednesday –  Lowe’s (LOW), Target (TGT), TJX Companies (NYSE:TJX), Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) and L Brands (NYSE:LB) 
  • Thursday – Alibaba (NYSE:BABA), Estee Lauder (NYSE:EL), and Ross Stores (NASDAQ:ROST) 
  • Friday –Foot Locker (NYSE:FL) and Deere (NYSE:DE) 

Key Economic Reports This Week:

  • Tuesday: Housing Starts
  • Wednesday: FOMC Minutes
  • Thursday: Jobless Claims
  • Friday: PMI Flash
