I was so happy last night to hear my brother Matt talk with passion about moving averages and The Hard 14. For years I have had this passion and I can promise you it is contagious! When you see how moving average can enhance your trading…well it really is contagious!
The first MasterMind group meeting will be this coming Wednesday (June 29th) and I am excited to teach it. We will be covering how to use moving averages on an index level to help determine our macro outlook. This is an underused feature of moving averages. It can be tough for individual stocks to swim upstream when the market is down and vice versa. Identifying those key points on the chart from a moving average perspective where resistance and support are likely to form can truly help your bottom line. It can help you determine your strategy for the market from a portfolio perspective. Lots of exciting times ahead in our MasterMind classes!

Weekly and monthly moving averages in trends are no joke. Recognizing where they are and how they act as support and resistance can tremendously assist you in determining when to hedge, exit positions and enter new ones. The weekly 9 on the S&P 500 over the last few months has been a formidable barrier to upward price movement.
