Tackle Today: Janet Yellen rumored for next Treasury Secretary

November 24, 2020

Stock Market’s extend gains Tuesday

Traders,

Market’s are up again on Tuesday amidst broad based optimism from investors and traders on Wall Street and Main Street alike. Pick a storyline, and the market is interpreting it bullish.

The big story today is being reported that Janet Yellen is the lead candidate to take over the Secretary of the Treasury position. As a career dove, her policies are very pro Wall Street as she’ll keep rates low, and continue to push money into the market through Quantitative Easing type policies that have been favorable to stocks for more than a decade.

That backdrop, along with positive stories’ regarding Covid-19 vaccines, a general optimism about 2021, and a reopening of the economy have kept the themes in the market in place and bullish.

As we move through the holiday shortened week, it is important to remember that markets are closed Thursday and have a shortened session on Friday.

It will be interesting to watch the price action this week, to see if these bullish themes will continue and how they effect the sector rotation we have seen the last month. In the chart of the day below, you will see that Energy, Financials and Industrials have been the top performing sectors during the Month of November.

We will be live today and tomorrow for all our regular programming.  Join us as we analyze all the action.
