It would be hard to find anything good in the world that did not first start out as an idea. Ideas by their nature are powerful and magnificent. Ideas can and have transformed companies, industries, countries, and even the course of world history. If ideas had a Facebook page, everyone would give it a thumb up for the comfort, increased health, entertainment, and happiness they have provided.
With such a powerful impact they have on the world, you would think ideas would be a little rarer than they are. There is a misconception among some about the scarcity of ideas. There is almost an endless supply of ideas and even a plethora of good and great ideas. While they do not necessarily grow on trees they might as well due to their abundance. The key to making your ideas come to life comes down to one simple word: action.
There are numerous reasons why some ideas never grow beyond the brain cell they originate in. No matter what the reason, the lack of action ends up being the ultimate cause of an idea fizzling out. Here are a few of the common reasons why action is not taken.
Reasons for Lack of Action:
- Fear
- Laziness
- Lack of Faith
- Hording an Idea
At the end of your days, you do not want to look back and wonder what might have been if you had developed your ideas beyond the initial conception. Having ideas, even good ones, is not uncommon. What is uncommon is not letting your ideas die and putting in the work and sacrifice necessary to see those ideas come to life.
