I really enjoyed the Trading Justice podcast yesterday with my brother Matt. You can listen to the entirety of the podcast here. We had a lot of topics of discussion but one that stood out was how much we have going on this week but how little of significance there is from a “big picture” standpoint.

There are tons of economic reports this week. Consumer confidence, ISM manufacturing, home data and many more. We also have a lot of Fed speakers…I think 4,000 (although I might be exaggerating the number slightly but it certainly feels that way). However, amid all the speakers and all the reports there really isn’t any one report that feels like it can change the narrative. That can create excitement or fear. Lots of noise but not anything a trader needs to trade around.

That creates an interesting backdrop as we head into the week in an overextended environment. In fact, we titled the podcast “Navigating Overextended Markets” and that is what the next little stretch feels like. How do we navigate bullish conditions that are overextended in this environment? Check out the podcast for our two cents in answering this question.
