This is how fast light travels through space:
- Miles per second: 186,000
- Meters per second: 299,792,458
- Miles per hour: 671,000,000
- Kilometers per hour: 1,080,000,000
Our nearest star is the Sun. Its light takes 8 minutes and 17 seconds to reach the Earth. Proxima Centauri is the next available star after the Sun, sitting around 4.2 light-years from us. Apparently, nothing can surpass the speed of light.
Except for Black Holes. Their gravitational pull is so strong, so intense, that not even light can escape it. The Event Horizon is the boundary of the region from which no escape is possible.
Which brings us to 2020 and its inescapable events.
- Trade tensions.
- Brexit tensions.
- Middle-East tensions.
- Negative Interest rates.
- Monetary base/Debt exponential growth.
- US Presidential Elections.
- AI everywhere, from driving and trading to US Presidential Election interference.
- FAANGs scrutiny and social blowback.
The point of no return was reached.
We are the light trapped inside these black holes. We cannot escape them.
