 There are no shortage of negative headlines weighing on sentiment right now. The war in Israel, yields hitting multi-year highs, continuing trade war like action between the United States and China…not a basket of sunshine and roses out there to say the least.

It was a nice to get a tad of positive news as we head into the new day with Netflix up significantly pre-market after reporting they added 8.8 million subscribers during the last quarter. This was a big number and more than triple the number gained during the same quarter last year.

Now is Netflix enough to turn the market around? Of course not. But it is a reminder that amid what seems like an endless string of negative news that there are companies running their businesses very efficiently and showing success. At a minimum this puts these types of companies on the radar and if earnings season strings together enough of these stories…well that is the things rallies are based on.
