Rope-a-dope: noun informal. “a boxing tactic of pretending to be trapped against the ropes, goading an opponent to throw tiring ineffective punches.”
Tiring ineffective punches. Does that not accurately describe what trading feels like in this environment? And I’m not just talking about bulls. Bears aren’t having it easy either. Have you noticed the number of down opens that have gotten bought up? There’ve been loads of late, and I featured them in the chart below.
If you can trade through this mess you can trade through anything. Don’t let the training go to waste. It will help you hone your skills and patience. You’ll never take a clean uptrend for granted ever again.
