In 35 days, the new year will be upon us and individuals will be making new resolutions and goals for the coming year. How about we start that process a little early by focusing on what we want to accomplish in the next 35 days! Learning to master the art of trading can certainly require focused effort and let’s get a head start on 2019 by setting a few goals that we want to accomplish in the coming weeks. Here are a few ideas to help you create your end of 2018 goal list:
- Paper trade a new strategy 10 times.
- Finish a specific course (Technical Analysis 101 or Options 101 for example).
- Write out your trading plan.
- Not deviate from your trading plan a single time the remainder of the year.
- Create and adhere to a morning routine.
- Create and adhere to a nightly routine.
These are just a handful of the many different goals you could focus on. Take advantage of the last five weeks of the year and build momentum heading into 2019. The path to financial freedom is there for you and creating and accomplishing goals is one way to help keep you on the path and make the journey shorter than it would be otherwise.

I have been fielding calls for the last several weeks about what is going on with these markets? The usual questions pop up like is the market crashing or are we just pulling back or is this just a big correction or sometimes even what the hell is going on?
