You Will Thank Yourself One Day
There are times where there are great trading setups almost everywhere you look. A plethora of choice. There are times when you look around the room and there are just a couple of great setups you want to trade. The choices are easy.
Then there are trading environments where everything feels like a small edge. You look at your watchlist and you shrug your shoulders. Things feel messy.
Yet often traders still act even when they do not love the setups presented to them. Why do they do this? Do they have to? Do they feel forced to meet an arbitrary monetary goal? Do they need the rush? There are a lot of reasons that traders trade even when they probably should go fishing instead.
Never act unless you have a great reason to do so. When you have probability on your side or attractive cash flow opportunities…hit it. If you don’t then how about you love your future self and don’t put them in a situation where they have to clean up the mess you create today.
Love your future self. Make their trading life easy. They will thank you.
Chart of the Day: The Dollar (UUP)
The dollar has been on a tear and taking a little pause to start the week ahead of several central bank meetings around the world the next three days. There are certainly catalysts to continue this pattern or maybe cause it to stall throughout the rest of the week.
