≈ Preparing for the potential volatility ≈
Traders,
Market’s are down sharply in Wednesday’s trading on a technical sell-off. Rising covid-19 cases and hospitalizations in the US and Europe are prompting cities, states, and countries to consider social restrictions and public health measures. This is adding to a general short-term risk avoidance, as the presidential election is coming up very quickly.
During this busy week, earnings reports have been at the focus, as 186 companies on the S&P 500 report this week. Microsoft reported last night after the bell with strong results, yet the stock is down -3% in early trading. It has been a theme developing this earnings season, as companies that report good numbers, are not getting a bullish bump from the reports.
When these earnings reports happen, we analyze the data, the price reaction and build plans on how to move forward. Before the earnings report, we look at market maker expectations, implied volatility, and gap history to get ready for the action. How do you prepare for a company’s earnings report? If you know what to look for you can get ready for the expected price action in advance.
During tonight’s weekly webinar, Coach Tyler will be teaching how to do just that. He will discuss how to use the MMM tool (market maker move), Implied volatility and other forms of analysis when getting ready for these events. Join us for all of our shows today, including the Halftime Report to analyze this current market action so we can help you understand what is happening across markets as well as get trained on how to deal with earnings.
