≈ A rite of passage. ≈
In 1960, John Coltrane released his sixth album, Giant Steps, a milestone in the world of Jazz and pop culture in general. Not only many tracks on that album are considered practice templates for jazz musicians but the first one—Giang Steps—is considered a rite of passage for jazz musicians due to the challenge that is to improvise over its chords progression, which came to be known as the “Coltrane Changes”.
In trading, we also have rites of passage, giant steps we must take to become professional traders. For many traders, surviving market corrections can be considered their rite. To others, understanding and trading options like a pro is their version of a giant step. Doubling the paper account before trading live can also be considered a milestone for newbies.
To me, my rite of passage has always been delta trading. Being a very analytical individual myself, my life as a trader has plenty of moments where I’ve been plagued by the Second Horseman of the Trading Apocalypse, the “Analysis Paralysis Trap“. I know how to follow rules, the problem is that I didn’t have solid ones to follow, so, I would struggle to find the right entry point and the right stop loss mark. The result was clear: losing money on directional trades which led to frustration.
This leads me to Tackle’s new release, the S.T.E.P. System. This system can be a game changer in the lives of many of our students, especially the ones who struggle with directional trading. It is also a giant step for Tackle. It is our first directional trading system completely based on the most famous product we have: the weekly Scouting Reports.
