“My fear of economic insecurity led me to seek solutions for managing my Nest Egg. I was also entrusted with my spouse’s and parents’ portfolios and I wanted to be a good steward of their assets.
Beth Salamanca —Goal is to make all our golden years golden. Who could help guide my investments?”
We are very excited to bring to our Tackle Today readers Beth Salamanca. She’s a trader and an investor; a life-long learner.
Beth Salamanca is a retired Foreign Service Officer and US Marine. She’s traveled to 77 countries and uses this experience to support her investing. She trades stocks, options, futures, and commodities. Under Coach Tim Justice’s mentorship, Beth was inducted to Elite Legacy Education’s prestigious Hall of Fame in 2018.
Todays’ article is about her Who. The first one, published last month, was about her Why (Fear). On that article she said:
“In sum, my “Why” is Fear of economic insecurity. My solution is Faith. Faith in life long learning and the financial education that the Tackle Trading community provides to help me survive and thrive.”
We highly encourage our #TemTackle to go there and read Beth’s articles. For the veterans, she reminds us where we came from and the path of sweat and tears we walked to get where we are today. For new traders, Beth is a living testimony of courage that can propel even the most fearful trader into a successful trading career.
First of March, 2019. We’re still on the first quarter of the year and what a great start for us at Tackle, having Beth joining forces with us.
Beth, welcome.

Options Theory
In Praise of the 200-Day Moving Average
One of the core tenets of technical analysis is that prices trend. The aim of many trading approaches, then, is to identify trends and ride them. Unfortunately, prices are often helter-skelter. They messily move up, down, and all around which can make it challenging to identify trend direction.
