The McRib is out again (ticker symbol MCDelicious). While this may not excite all of you it is certainly been a moment I have been looking forward to with great anticipation. It is those little moments in life, right? Those moments in life of peace, contentment, excitement joy…wiping barbeque sauce off your shirt after a delicious bite. Simply wonderful.
Trading and investment should be a vehicle to enhance those moments, not detract.
Do you know what can put a damper on all these little moments in life we enjoy and look forward to? When we are stressed about our trading.
Do you know what tends to produce stress in trading? When we are too greedy and have too large of a position size on any given trade.
Any given trade should never cause undue stress and if we are stressed about our trading, we may be doing something wrong in the size of our trades or the construction of our portfolio.
I love my brother Tim’s saying, “Get rich slowly.” Trading and investing can be a wonderful asset to enhance our lives. Don’t let greed in trading cause stress that can damper those wonderful moments in life.
