It is going to be a busy week with stimulus talk, the beginning of earnings season and major conferences from Apple and Amazon. Banks highlight the start of earnings season and all 12 of the major banks are expected to show a profit. Overall, earnings is expected to be down -21% Y/Y in Q3 which would be an improvement from the -31% Y/Y we saw in Q2. Will lowered expectations and gradual improvement be enough to continue to wet the bulls appetite? We will soon find out.
Three weeks ahead of the election and stimulus talks continue to dominate the headlines. Stimulus optimism has dominated the headlines in recent weeks sending the averages higher on almost a daily basis. With so little time left before the election can a deal be made? Will it even matter to the market before the election? So many questions this week and we will be here all week in our live shows to help break down the information.
