«It is Not Boring Out there!>»
Coach Mark here.
The Dow is the most oversold on some intraday time frames equal to the Covid crash. Abercrombie and Fitch (ANF) putting in a candle that would make meme stocks jealous! Tesla not breaking a support level that is one of the more boring charts in the market the last couple of weeks! Gold’s pattern looks cash-flow delightful. A little bit for everyone as we head into the back half of the week.
You often hear the term it is a “Trader’s Market” used. This phrase refers to markets where you do not have dominate price action in one direction. For example, at the end of 2023 and 2024 it was not a “Trader’s Market” in this use of the term as it was a straight bull market backdrop where you had broad participation in just about every area of the market. In 2022 it was not a “Trader’s Market” in the sense that you had broad selling everywhere and when the market rallied, just about everything rallied with it. These markets certainly had areas that overperformed and underperformed but overall, the broad price action carried the day.
We could be entering into a period where there is a little bit for everyone…a true Trader’s Market. The macro will play a role here in determining what comes next but I personally am excited to pick my spots, find areas and opportunities that are enticing and grow my account.
We will be breaking down the big picture as we do every week in the Tackle Trading Newsletter released this weekend. Have a fantastic Thursday and be sure to catch us on the Halftime Report!
Chart of the Day: Abercrombie and Fitch (ANF)
The Dow may be selling off dramatically the last couple of days but don’t tell that to ANF who broke out, seized momentum and put in a “let’s take some profit” type candle.
