Craziness aside, lower prices create pleasure for rational consumers. Everyone loves a sale. It’s in our DNA. Except when it comes to the stock market. In this twisted realm, bargains create bozos.

You’ll recall one of the powerful attributes of the moving average (MA) is its ability to smooth out the often erratic price action. While this can provide more clarity in identifying the trend, it also allows us to create easy-to-spot trading signals. Here’s the gist of using MA crossovers.

In late-February small-cap stocks were left for dead. Try as I might to discover the culprit, I can’t quite put my finger on it. Nor have I heard a palatable explanation from the punditry class. I have my suspicions, of course.

One month ago, I highlighted gold’s emergence from one heckuva long base in Gold Goes Gaga. Alongside the price analysis, I threw out three ways to bank on the sky-high implied volatility. And, well, I’m happy to report it wouldn’t have mattered which path you followed. They all made money.

My idea well has run dry this week, but I do have one thing on my mind worth sussing out. Let’s talk about how the market goes about pricing in dividends.

I’ve lived in my current home for eleven years. I bought it when I was 24 just after getting married. It had plenty of room to start a family, but after a bull market in babies, we’re bursting at the seams. The lack of a yard with three rambunctious boys is particularly troublesome. So we finally decided to build a bigger house on a larger lot.

Gold is the talk of the town this week, deservedly so. The oh so precious metal just popped to its highest level since 2013. At $1,421 per ounce, gold bugs are coming out of the woodwork for some old fashion chest thumpin’.

My great aunt has a cabin and land, deep in a canyon. Every spring she hosts a family reunion where my mom’s side of the family gathers. It’s a time to eat, visit, catch-up on the goings on of all my relatives, and otherwise enjoy watching my kids play in the great outdoors.

Want a killer combination for eye-popping returns when selling premium? It’s very simple and easy to remember. I used it yesterday during a mentorship session to show a 60% return on a high probability short strangle trade. Some of you probably already know the combo. It’s not really a secret, unless you haven’t heard of it before. Now that I think of it, everything you don’t know is a secret.

Bonds are hotter than a pistol right now. Spectators seeking a culprit for the sudden surge have many catalysts to choose from. There’s the trade war, Trump’s tariff rampage, a downshifting economy starting to be priced in, and a stock market that has completely lost its mojo.

The gap robber strikes again! Monday greeted traders with a nasty down-gap, particularly in the land of tech. Tuesday is delivering an up-gap. Said gap robber is an annoying man vexing the life of the directional trader. Want to buy above today’s high? Too bad, we’re gapping 50 cents above it. Want to short below today’s low?

Monday was a nasty pill for bulls to swallow for multiple reasons. But maybe the meanest was the upending of Friday’s picture-perfect bullish reversal candle. I mean, to gap below last week’s low, right off the bat? That’s some next level nastiness.

Last Friday’s stock rally was legit. The large jobs beat kicked-off a buying frenzy that finally sent the small-cap-laden Russell 2000 Index through the pivotal $1600 resistance zone. Equities ended on a high note across the board.

Jimbo dropped a great question in the Clubhouse last week that I wanted to respond to. It’s a query that I hear occasionally and have developed some perspective on. Today I’m going to share how I think about investing your emergency fund.

oday we’re breaking down a trade setup in Netflix. You’ll learn how I use technical analysis, multiple time frames, volatility patterns, and implied volatility to build out a trade.

For three long years, Disney shares have lain dormant. Shareholders have been desperately waiting for a catalyst powerful enough to wake the mouse from its slumber. A handful of billion-dollar Marvel movies proved insufficient. Even the combined force powers of the Jedi and Sith were found wanting. Galaxy’s Edge, Galaxy’s Smedge.

This is a discussion I try to work into all my one-on-one mentorships. There isn’t a right answer of course, but the objective of the exercise is to layout a few possibilities and help each trader make a more informed decision.
