It is Fed day today and there will certainly be no shortage of market commentary on Powell’s press conference and the dot plot that is released in a few hours. Will Powell push back hard against the rate cut expectations? Will the dot plot reflect the recent pricing in of cuts? Will Powell discuss a pathway for cuts? Will the market care about anything that happens today? A lot to break down in the coming days in our programming! One thing I love on days like today are covered calls. Another day that ends in Y as they say. The week can get crazy and the volatility can pick up out of nowhere but the one thing I know during all of this is that the theta I have working on covered calls is creating a stream of cash flow for me. Covered calls are the bedrock of what I do.
