Markets are moving higher and continuing their breakout from yesterday after more positive economic news hits the plate. Producer price inflation today came in today and was lower than expectations which followed yesterday’s consumer price inflation numbers showing more of the same. Yields and the dollar have been falling as a result as expectations are increasing that after the Fed hikes in a few weeks that they are likely done.

The combination of lower inflation, falling dollar, falling yields and non-recessionary economic data has helped fuel a breakout that from a technical perspective is very pretty. Coach Matt broke this technical pattern down on the Halftime Report yesterday and will continue to break the technicals as they develop.

The market will now turn its attention to earnings as earnings season kicks off officially tomorrow with the big banks tomorrow.
