Learn this powerful long-term approach

Traders,

Last night in the Coaches Show, Coach Gino Poore and Greg Holmes taught a wonderful hour on dividend investing for cash flow.  We are continuing that theme tonight when Coach Greg teaches us how he approaches dividend stocks and specifically how he trades covered calls on them.  That webinar will be on our YouTube channel at 7 pm EST.

If you find good companies that pay dividends that ALSO have liquid options that are tradable you can add them to a watch list.  First and foremost, the Dividend allows you to earn cash flow over time from the payments. Also, when a company pays a dividend, and especially when it is a stable company, with good fundamentals, it gives investors more confidence to stay with the stock over time.

Dividend’s create stability for many companies’ stock price.  Simply put, if you know there is a dividend payment coming, and you’re a conservative long-term investor, you’re more likely to be patient with a stock as it moves up and down because you know you’re going to get paid the dividend over time.

As a trader, it is important to learn different approaches to trading and investing.  Dividend investing is a particularly good approach to take when you are in your long-term retirement accounts and for wealth building. There are times to trade, there are times to invest, and you should build the skillsets for both.

AT&T Daily Chart

AT&T is a popular dividend paying stock.  It was used as an example last night from Coach Gino.  What dividend paying companies do you track?  If you don’t have a dividend watch list, you should build one.  There’s a dividend fireworks list on the Tackle 25 blog: https://tackletrading.com/tackle-25-2020-edition/
