Thanks for watching!

Traders,

Our Swing Trading 101 webinar was a smashing success last night. All who participated came away with a more profound knowledge of technical analysis, pattern recognition, and Marty the elephant. We tapped into the timeless wisdom of legendary trader Jesse Livermore who knew a thing or two about making money.

“There is nothing new in Wall Street. There can’t be because speculation is as old as the hills. Whatever happens in the stock market today has happened before and will happen again.”

Jesse Livermore

“Do not anticipate and move without market confirmation- being a little late in your trade is your insurance that you are right or wrong.”

Jesse Livermore

“Buy rising stocks and sell falling stocks.”

Jesse Livermore

“It is literally true that millions come easier to a trader after he knows how to trade, than hundreds did in the days of his ignorance.”

Jesse Livermore

Veteran #TeamTackle members should recognize all four of these principles. We’ve parroted them in one form or other dozens of times throughout our education. Here might be another way of expressing them.

“Patterns repeat.”

Tackle Trading Coaches

“Wait for a trigger before entering a trade.”

Tackle Trading Coaches

“Trade with the trend.”

Tackle Trading Coaches

“Making money is far easier with education.”

Chart of the Day: Tech gets Wrecked

Chart of the Day: Tech gets Wrecked ($XLK)

The technology sector (XLK) finally saw a significant reversal candle. We call Monday’s candle an outside day or bearish engulfing candle because it traded above the previous day’s high but then tumbled and closed below the prior day’s low. The high volume added significance to its warning sign. It doesn’t necessarily mean the tech sector will go into a downtrend. However, it does mean the momentum of the red-hot uptrend will likely cool for a spell.
