Tackle Today: Small Caps Break Out

The bullish evidence is mounting, and now we have one more development to add to the growing list. Small caps just blasted through significant resistance. Sure, the S&P 500 was already there. So too was the Nasdaq. And, yes, we saw emerging markets bottom when China screamed 24% higher in a day. Europe joined the party with a big bounce of its own. The VIX got crushed back to teenage levels. Oh, and bitcoin bottomed. What more could you want?
Small caps, dear reader, small caps. We wanted them back into an uptrend. We wanted the Russell 2000 Index to vanquish its bearish overlords camped at $2,100 and return to bullish territory. Well, ask and ye shall receive. This morning, RUT is up 2% and boasts a convincing marubozu candle worthy of your birthday cake. Do you want to be a bear in the face of all that?
