Tackle Today: Stock markets are rallying

As the US Election results continue to be evaluated and counted, the markets are up big across the board. Currently, we do not have clarity on the election, but we are seeing the rally in many sectors of the market in early trading. Healthcare, Communication Services, Technology, and Consumer Cyclical’s lead the way up +4.99%, +4.8%, +3.77% and +3.41% respectively.
Emotions are going to be high, and as a trader, it’s important to try the best you can to remove emotions and trade based on the information you have and the charts in front of you. As the market’s process the election results, and what they mean for potential policy moving forward, the best mindset is to trade what you see, or wait for more clarity for yourself personally.
Within the market itself, there will be winners and losers, for example UBER and LYFT are up big today, while FSLR is down. The ride sharing companies are benefiting from Prop 22 passing in California, and the Solar stock is down on the presumption the split congress between the Senate and House will not create the policy’s solar was looking for. It is going to be fascinating to watch specific companies, industries and sectors move over the next few days and weeks.
