‘Success’ has many definitions. “Accomplishing a desired aim or result” or “Having achieved fame, wealth, or social status” are both well-accepted meanings. Scholars and intellectual authorities sure can come up with better definitions of success than us, mere mortals.
If you look closely, ‘achievement’ could be considered the common denominator. If you achieve something, then you are successful.
Now how about living an overall successful life? Then the common denominator shifts to the path itself.
Whatever you define it, real success has at least two pillars: sheer hard work and passion. These two will define your path to accomplishment. You can argue that lucky is also a key component in achieving success in life but what if lucky is just opportunity meeting preparation? Then you go from a passive to an active state of mind: you gotta be prepared and see opportunities when no one else sees them. How? With sheer hard work and passion.
