3 pillars of Technical Analysis

Tonight, at 7 pm EST, Coach Tyler Craig will be teaching a webinar on The Art of Charting.  It co-incides with Volume 32 of the Trading Justice Newsletter that was published this month.  If you haven’t read this month’s newsletter yet, it’s a great time to do so before the webinar tonight.

Trading Justice Newsletter, June 2020: https://tradingjustice.com/the-art-of-chartingtrading-justice-newsletter-vol-32/

Tyler teaches that there are 3 pillars of Technical Analysis.

  1. Price Discounts Everything
  2. Price Trends
  3. History Repeats Itself

By embracing these 3 pillars, you can then start to approach charting in a systematic way.  Every time you read a chart, you should look for trends, momentum changes, support, and resistance.  Also, learn to use Moving Averages and Volume patterns to help you better identify opportunities. There is a process to reading a chart, and when you put it all together, it gives you more confidence when you’re making your decisions on entry, exit, timing and overall market analysis.

Make a commitment to being the best technician you can, and build your chart reading skills with rules and structure.

Chart of the Day

QQQ Uptrend

In the newsletter, Tyler taught that Price Trend is the first hierarchy in chart analysis.  In this example, QQQ has developed higher pivot highs and higher pivot lows.  That is a confirmed uptrend.
