Oh, the wonders of a bull market! Every day is bull market. The bears are facing extinction. The sun always shines on Wall St. Prosperity abounds, flooding the charts with optimism (except for Pot Stocks, they are always being smoked).
The markets are so happy that not even a virus can bring it down. And if it does, the big heads will fix it in no time.
You know what I think will be the epitome of a happy market? No, not the Wall St. special humans wearing Happy Socks; they’re probably wearing it as I write. I mean hashtags. HASHTAGS. I bet soon we will be witnessing a handful of stocks named after hashtags. many-character tickers like:
#AwesomenessInc
#BestDishesInc
#CrocsKillerCorp
#GeekRulesCorp
That’s embarrassing.
Last Friday, Coach Slawek came in with a mic drop: buy and hold is dead. Finding bargains in a stretched market like this is difficult. The old value school with have to reinvent itself, remake the calculations and get used to #HappyStocks infecting the markets with unicorn valuations.
What other alternatives do we have? Well, as traders, we have:
Day trading
Swing trading
Cash Flow trading
The only thing you can’t do is putting all your hard-earned money, the sweat of your forehead into some hot pick from a forum. Or selling 20 Naked Puts in an account that can only handle 5.
In the end, what will save us from the #HappyMarket and its #HappyStocks is method, system. Otherwise, the only stock we will hold in our portfolio will be #BadVibe.
