I am a huge fan of Warren Buffett. Always have been and that will never change. I love how he approaches the markets. I love the knowledge he has imparted on others. I love the many amazing quotes of wisdom he has given us over the years.

I run through my “Buffett Quote List” often. One stood out to me this morning as I am getting ready for the market day. The quote is:

“The stock market is a device for transferring money from the impatient to the patient.”

One of the things I love about Buffett quotes is they can mean different things to different people at different times. However, the underlying wisdom of the quote holds true regardless of the circumstance. So often we get caught up in the emotions of trading. We want to maximize our gains today regardless of the circumstance. We want to party like its 1999 constantly. We want, we want, we want….

I am not here to quench your desire for gains. Just here to deliver a quote from a man who has reached levels of success few will and let you dwell on what that means to you.

Chart of the Day: Nvidia (NVDA)

Nvidia is probably the most important chart in the market for a couple of days. A clean technical breakout by anyone’s standards. If the breakout can hold it is a good indication that bulls remain firmly in charge. If it does not then we need to have a talk about potential short-term tops in the market.
