Hello, Rookie Traders! This week’s blog is going to be all about attention to detail. Did any of you see what I did wrong in last week’s video? Did you catch the error? If you did then you can probably see how easy it is to miss a step or hit the wrong key. InREAD MORE

Traders are told they need to keep an eye on their portfolio. And there’s certainly merit to the suggestion. After all, how can you make a quality decision about trade management if you don’t even know the status of your beloved positions? Are you winning or losing?

Hello Tackle Traders Can you believe it’s July already? Where does the time go! I remember it being January and the weather being so cold I was wishing it was summer. Like most people, I set some resolutions in January and now that we are halfway through the year, it’s a good time toREAD MORE

These past few weeks Washington DC has been so vibrant with everyone rocking the red and ALLCAPS. The players were just wonderful in how they celebrated their win with the fans. I think they will beREAD MORE

Upon grasping the appeal of condor selling on indexes, many wonder about the merit of deploying these feathered profit-givers on multiple indexes such as the RUT and SPX simultaneously. My default response is that such a gambit is redundant due to the strong correlation between both products.

Remember, the potential profit is $1.00 for the entire month. To see a profitable condor flip from up 40 cents to down $1.20 in one day can be gut-wrenching, to say the least. And, here’s the deal, the very next day (May 31st) RUT dropped enough for the Condor to return to $1.00.

I spotlighted Petroleo Brasileiro (PBR) in the Options Report two weeks ago on account of its mouth-watering bull retracement pattern. Then the stock plunged some 13% overnight on the following news. This is an excerpt from a Fitch Ratings press release

“What has happened in the past will happen again and again” – Jesse Livermore Hello Tackle Traders! I am going to take a guess and say that most people today use some type of social media to connect with friends, family, and colleagues. Long-time readers know I’m a fan of scaling in. I paid homage to the powerful tactic in a recent post titled The Lost Art of Scaling. I also mention it from time to time in the Options Report. With last week’s rousing recovery, small-caps now sit a whisker from record highs. The last quarter of twists and turns, of whoops and whirls, is now a memory. With all lost ground now recovered, it’s worth taking a moment for retrospection. What should we have learned from all the drama?

Welcome back tackle traders! Can you believe we are in the fifth month of trading already! With the exception of a few sectors that have yet to report, earnings season will soon be in the rearview mirror yet the market is unchanged since the beginning of earnings season.
