Today is a massive options expiration day. How massive? How about in the tune in of $4.9 trillion dollars’ worth of options expiring today. No small amount, right?

Days like today traders and investors are making a lot of decisions around options expiring. Every Friday (and during the week on major indices) options expire. Sometimes they expire in-the-money and sometimes out-of-the-money and sometimes on Friday they are right at the money creating some interesting decisions as the trading week ends.

These decisions do not need to be complicated. They should be straight forward and according to your rules. It can take some time to develop these rules but we can help.
