Tackle Today: The Scouting Report Meetings

≈ Let’s discuss Crocs® ≈
Since last September we’ve been holding a special meeting every Friday after the market close. It’s our Scouting Report meetings. In these meetings we go through every sector, each one of the major currencies and also discuss entry, stop and target for each stock/ETF pick. It’s a tour de force that is worth every minute.
The devil is the devil because he is old in this business, so we care about the details. We look ahead for earnings, stock splits, dividend payments, and hesitation. Yes, hesitation. When a particular set up causes silence between the coaches, we know that this pick won’t make it in any of the reports. If we can’t see a clear set up that everyone agrees with and that will be easy for our students to spot, out with it.
Obviously, we have our moments. You can’t expect a bunch of guys to hang out on Zoom for three consecutive hours and not have a laugh in there somewhere during the meeting.
That’s when we discuss relevant subjects. Like Crocs®, for example. The devil used to wear Prada. Now he wears Crocs, it seems.

The 200 MA (a.k.a. Gandalf, The Grey)
The 200 MA is one, if not THE, most important catalyst in technical analysis. Looks like the market hates the FED hawkish statements, or love the dovish ones, whatever. Three green candles in a row cannot be wrong. However, whatever the case is, the 200 MA is always there to make the trader’s life a little bit harder.
